Robin Pingeton
Robin Pingeton is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 35 years of experience in healthcare and extensive expertise in geriatric medicine, dementia care, chronic disease management, and psychiatric medical management. Her career has spanned high-acuity hospital care, advanced practice nursing, education, private practice, professional leadership, and healthcare advocacy.
Robin began her nursing career in intensive care, working across cardiac, surgical, trauma, and burn settings before developing a particular interest in the complex medical and neurological needs of older adults. She later founded a private clinical practice dedicated to caring for frail and medically complex geriatric patients, with an emphasis on thoughtful medication management, reducing polypharmacy, preventing avoidable emergency care, and helping patients maintain quality of life as they age.
Education has also been an important part of Robin’s career. She has served as a State of Georgia educator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Hand in Hand program, providing education to senior living professionals on person-centered care and abuse prevention. She is also passionate about mentoring advanced practice nurses, particularly those interested in developing independent and NP-led clinical practices.
Robin has spent many years involved in professional leadership and healthcare policy. She has served in leadership roles with the Georgia chapter of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association and the United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia, including co-chairing UAPRN’s Government Relations Committee. Through this work, she has developed extensive experience engaging with healthcare professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders on issues affecting healthcare delivery and patient access across Georgia.
As a founding member of GA REACH, Robin brings decades of clinical experience together with a deep understanding of healthcare policy, professional advocacy, and the challenges facing patients and clinicians throughout the state. She is particularly passionate about ensuring that Georgia’s growing and aging population can access qualified healthcare professionals, including in communities where healthcare resources remain limited. Her experience in government relations also helps inform GA REACH’s educational and advocacy efforts and its work to build productive relationships with stakeholders across Georgia.
Robin earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas and her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University. In recognition of her leadership and advocacy, she received the 2023 American Association of Nurse Practitioners Nurse Practitioner Advocate State Award for Excellence for Georgia and has also been nominated for the Mary Jane Seacole Award.
Throughout her career, Robin has remained committed to improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare, strengthening the advanced practice nursing profession, and mentoring the clinicians who will carry that work forward. Through GA REACH, she continues that commitment by helping advance thoughtful, collaborative solutions that support patients, healthcare professionals, and communities throughout Georgia.
